Full Moon : Friday 29th January

Full Moon : Friday 29th of January
Moon in Leo - Fire
Full Moon – La Luna Llena…

Constant chanting, prayer, songs of Earth Mother while we 3 goddesses of the Universe prepared for 11:18 that evening. When the Moon and the Sun would align, be in conjunction, exactly 180 degree’s apart from each other. The Ying and Yang, the balance between the world. The masculine and feminine divine energy sources. The Sun and the Moon. Tonight there was to be a sacred dance and music in all respect towards our Mother. We 3 young women, in 3 separate directions of this world, yet all from the north sat and created costumes of our spirit animals to be worn that evening. Creating everything from nature and what she provides. Palm frans were our main source of creativity. Unaware of what I was to become, pieces of costume in the end formed a beautiful black butterfly of the night. Dream Catcher wings, fairy clothing, painted tribal designs all over my body, I was the dancing joy of life.
At sunset Carmelle, Emily, and I prayed and sang as the Male entity of Earth set, bringing on the Female divine to rise and become its fullest after 11pm. I had invited locals, travelers, and gypsy creatures from Sayulita to come be part of our Celebration. About 10 Mexican (African drummers) came , along with their crew of acrobatics of fire to harmonize with the dancing spirit animals of this night. Us 3 flying creatures all took to the sky as the egnormise bonfire lit up the entire beach and night. Around 40 celebrating earthlings were there that night, as the Leo – Fiery Full Moon danced around in harmony.

Saturday 30th
Woken up to the sunrise and empty, lonely feeling the accompanied the air, I felt distant. Especially as the floating young bodies of last night were sprawled randomly around our beach, absorbing the mornings sun rays. Yet the emptiness evaporated soon enough, when a new opportunity arose. Neptune bringing forth at 10:38am an opportunity for a spiritual awakening. My local friend dropped by to invite me and Carmelle to Spiritual Gathering in the highland desert, across Mexico, in the State of San Luis Potozi. And with some thought, we decided to each pack up a small bag and leave our tent and the rest of our things behind with some friends on the beach and travel over night across Mexico.

Sunday 31st
We arrived in the wee morning to San Luis Potozi, where Gustavo, a friend of my friend, Cisco picked us up and brought us back to his place. There we rested a few hours, before we travelled a few hours outside the city, to the Gaia Gathering. It was a Conscious Cleansing Circle – Gathering.
At a Hacienda / Rancho, there we began to build the tamascal.
A tamascal is a traditional Native Sweat Lodge, used to cleanse and purify your body, soul, and spirit.
Gustavo, Sisco’s friend was going to lead the ceremony to take place that late afternoon. I was blessed to be able to help construct the temporary Lodge. This one was a circular, dome shaped bamboo structure. Mother Earth’s Belly, the Heart of Earth, and we were to enter into her body, into her belly to purify. We covered it with Burlap, felt and wool blankets, and black plastic. Mean while in line with her belly, we built the fire outside. It had to keep burning for more than 3 hours, as the volcanic rocks we had placed within heated up. With each volcanic rock we placed in the fire, we put a prayer or intention of this ceremony within the fire, to burn and take away. Later as the day progressed, white lilies, flowers, crystals, drums, flags all kinds of sacred objects were placed around the fire. More beautiful souls showed up, and just before sunset we were all cleansed with sage and entered into the Tamascal.
IT was a 3 hour sweat, with 3 door openings to let in more volcanic rock, more heat, or for those to step out if needed. The lodge was a 10 by 10 foot circle, with over 30 people inside. While it we sang, chanted, prayed, in unity, in silence, we released negative energy from our souls. We purified for preparation for that evening. I sat crossed legged in peace and divine love for 3 straight hours, in complete love and harmony for all human/animal kind. I have been here before. I have had this feeling before. This familiar sensation has been part of my life, my lives. I was a past Indian Girl of the north. I have sweated and cleansed before this. I have chanted and sang songs of our Earth Mother over and over again, and finally at this stage in my life, this cycle I am returning to I was before and to who I am now.
That evening we entered into the sacred circle to purify our souls even more so. We were to take medicine from the Amozonia Jungle – Ayahuasca. It was a beautiful ritualistic ceremony that went on for 5 hours. We all wore white. We drank the plant in liquid form, all the way from Brasil and sat in meditation. There were two Madrina’s guiding us every step. Madrina’s are Shaman Women and they came from Peru and Brasil for this ritual. We began in a square shape, revolving around the Shaman’s in the middle and according to height spiraled out. They sang songs of religion, of a Christian God, of the man who found Ayahuasca, songs in Portuguese, while we sat and meditated and went within ourselves and released. We released all negative energies eating at our souls. From psykeldics to sadness, to happiness, to releasing all holding us back. It was a Santo Daime Religion. In the end we sang and danced. Men on one side of the room, women on the either, swaying back in forth in opposition from our opposite selves. We swayed in harmony and song of joy. Brothers and Sisters, all as one, spirits of this Earth.

Song:
Earth my Body
Water my Blood
Air my Breath
And Fire my Spirit

hey hey hey ya, hey ya ho
Hey hey hey ya, hey ya ho

Tierra mi Cuerpo
Agua mi sangre
Aire mi Aliento
Y Fuego mi Espiritu
